Tattoo aftercare healing tips
It is good to leave your bandage on for 2 – 4 hours. Do not remove and re-bandage the tattoo to view or show your tattoo, it is very important start off healing your tattoo right, this will help prevent infection when the skin is at it’s most vulnerable point.

Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo. Remove the bandage at the appropriate time and wash the tattoo with tepid (lukewarm) water and a mild, unscented soap (such as Dove, Ivory, Dial, etc.). This will open the pores. Gently pat the tattoo dry with a paper towel. Do not use a wash cloth or anything abrasive on the tattoo.

Carefully remove any ointments or petroleum based products from the area. Apply Ink Fixx ointment to the tattoo whenever it feels dry, approximately 3-5 times a day. Continue to wash the tattoo and apply Ink Fixx.

Do not pick or scratch your tattoo. It is natural for a new tattoo to itch somewhat while it is healing.

Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for a few weeks or until it is healed completely. When in the sun for the first two weeks or so, the tattoo must always be covered by your clothing.

Avoid hot tubs, public pools, ocean and do not soak in water for long periods of time as this could remove a scab prematurely and distort your tattoo.

After your tattoo has healed, be aware of the sun’s effects on it. Excessive exposure to sunlight will fade and damage a tattoo’s appearance. This is why using Ink Fixx tattoo aftercare will help keep your tattoo looking bright and new.
